The Giulia already had all the hallmarks of a GTI some 15 years before Volkswagen gave name to the concept. With an all-alloy engine with twin-overhead camshafts, powerful brakes and 5-speed gearbox, the Giulia was in reality a sports car disguised as a compact family saloon. In the 1960s it took the middle manager and his family on the Autostradas from Milan and Torino to the beaches at Forte dei Marmi and Lido di Jesolo at cruising speeds of 130 km\/h with ease. For more than a decade is also became the preferred car for the Italian police and their colleagues in Carabinieri.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1964 Alfa Romeo made 501 light weight Giulias designated TI Super for homologation in the European Touring car series. Today these cars are highly sought after collector cars. This early Giulia TI has been restored and rebuilt to revive the TI Super driving experience. The 2 liter engine is completely rebuilt and  mildly tuned with ported and flowed head, fast road cams and a superb 60mm stainless free-flow exhaust system from OKP. Gearbox is rebuilt as well and final drive is a 2 liter rear axle with limited slip. The engine has been thoroughly trimmed in carburetors and ignition after numerous sessions on the road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This gorgeous Giulia is finished in bianco spino and fitted with period correct TI Super 15\u201d alloys and is on the button ready to be enjoyed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
