This Fulvia is the attractive lightweigt Series 1 Rallye with doors, bonnet and hood in alumnium. In 2008 it was imported to Denmark from Torino, Italy where its 1st owner had the car for 40 years! In 2002 it was subject to a light restoration by its 1st owner. In Denmark its 2nd owner did some mechanical work on brakes, steering, chock absorbers, driving lights etc. Otherwise this Fulvia in Amaranto rosso is in pristine condition and it comes with a wealth of documentation.
Anyone who has had the chance to drive and work a litte with these early Fulvias would agree that the quality of these cars are exceptional. The narrow angled little V4 pumping out 87 BHP is a jewel of an engine and every detail and component in this car is so well engineered, that its no wonder that Lancia was close to bankruptcy several times in the 50es and 60es. It is evident that the engineers and not the accountants or the marketing people at Lancia had the last word when these cars were designed.
The Fulvia is not only a very elegant and compact 60es GT car. It is also an intelligent choice for a classic to be driven as an everyday car today. Nimble, agile, excellent roadholding and superb visibility in its small but airy cabin from where one easily overlooks all 4 corners of the car during tight parking manoeuvres.
