The classic Bertone in its latest development has a strong 2 liter engine with 131 HP, larger brakes on the front wheels and limited slip differential on the rear axle compared to the previous models. Basically it shares most of the technique with its predecessors like: disc brakes on all 4 wheels, 5-speed gearbox and the sleek aluminum engine with 2 overhead camshafts and 2 dual carburetors. With its design and technique, it is a typical Italian Gran Turismo car with great style. Smaller and more compact than the large representatives of the class from Maserati, Ferrari and Lamborghini. Nevertheless, Alfa’s small 1960/1970 GT delivers perhaps 90% of the same feeling and joy, but for only a fraction of the price. Chief engineer Carlo Chiti’s advanced technique combined with the young Giugiaro’s design lines as a newcomer at Disigno di Bertone, has given Alfa’s Bertone GT a high and well deserved position as a coveted and loved classic.
This specific car was few years ago completely restored in its original color Rosso Prugna, not the most common color in our area, but looks simply stunning on a shiny summer day. The body is extremely well sorted out with perfect body closure and gaps, a key concern on these cars and so important for long lasting investment.
