2 years ago this 2000 GT Veloce went through a “Nut and bolt” restoration. The car was taken completely apart to empty body shell, all rusty areas made and then assembled again with a lot of new parts. Suspension, steering and brakes new. Transmission rebuilt with new bearings, syncros, seals etc. Engine totally rebuilt with new bearings, pistons, liners, timing gear. Cylinder head rebuilt with new valves, valve seats, carburetor flanges etc. Water pump, radiator, exhaust, battery etc. all new.
Quality paint job in classic Alfa rosso 501 and all new carpets and upholstery in black leather to original patterns. Fitted with a new version of the classic GTA alloys with Pirelli P4 Cinturatos. These alloys are a new production from Japan. They are precision cast in aviation grade aluminum, have steel inserts in bolt holes, they are exceptional quality, stronger but thinner and several kilos lighter than others offered on the market which all comes from the same British manufacturer.
This gorgeous “pocket” GT was Danish from new and therefore EU taxes (VAT) are paid. The Alfa GT Bertone is our own favorite model among all classics and they are a joy to drive and a delight to the eye. It gives you 95% of what a classic 1960’es Ferrari gives at 1/10 of the price. No wonder these beauties enjoys increasingly appreciation among classic car enthusiasts all over the world.
