Please see presentation video below

Compared to the mainstream competitors from MG and Fiat, the Alfa Romeo Spider was more the choice of the discerning connoisseur when, in the 1960s and 70s, an open 2-seater sports car was on the wish list. The well-known Alfa Romeo “Nord” engine, made in aluminum with twin overhead camshafts, 2 double carburetors, 5-speed gearbox also in aluminum and disc brakes on all 4 wheels were standard options for the model. In 1971 the more powerful 2 liter engine with 131 HP arrived, with larger brakes and a LSD on the rear axle, all goodies that the competitors could not match. The Series 2 model, with its sharply cut Kamm rear end design, simply signals classic Italian style and elegance, and you get a fair share of “La dolce vita” in every trip behind the wheel.

The car here belonged to a true Alfa enthusiast, and has been regularly and very well serviced. A fresh drive will quickly confirm that it was the driving experience that always was in center owning the car, as it should always be a pleasure. Engine, gearbox, steering and brakes work extremely well, and it’s just a car that puts you in a good mood to drive in – of course preferably open, where the sound from the set of double Webers doesn’t deny itself.

Extensive documentation testifies the previous owner’s interest in properly maintaining and upgrading the car. Most recently, the car has had a 1-2-3 ignition distributor installed, and the front seats have been reupholstered. New Cromodora wheels in the classic 5-star design complete the classic look of the Spider, The car is ready on the bottom to be used with no further work, it’s simply just ready to be enjoyed.

A reasonable fair possibility to drive a classic open Alfa Romeo within an affordable budget. Considering the increase in prices of the corresponding and mechanically identical GT version has skyrocketed, it is – still – surprisingly much car that you get for the money in a Spider. Get ready to go out and drive La Dolce Vita in an open Alfa Romeo – it doesn’t get much more classic.
