CAR HAS BEEN SOLD THANK YOU
Ferrari 348 succeded the very popular 308/328 model. Keeping a compact V8 engine in the center of the car but mounted longitudinally (hence the “t” for trasversale). With 300 hk and dry sump lubrication there was sufficient power and attitude to match the rest of the car and the practical targa roof only improves the driving experience. This was the final “real” Ferrari before automatic transmissions, servo-assisted steering and a soft clutch became the new normal. Also the nomenclature was changed after Il Commendatore passed away – 348 is the final model where the name true to tradition referred to the configuration of the engine – 3,4 liter and 8 cylindres.
Pininfarina was still responsible for the design but the man in charge was no other than Leonardo Fioravanti (365 “Daytona”, 288GTO and F40!) and the lines draw a parallel from the design of the Testarossa. The result is a more masculine car than the predecessor and you might add the successor – it is really a quite unique design.
This example is in extraordinary good condition and it is evident that the former owner knew what he was doing. Owned by a Danish enthusiast for the last 16 years the car presents really nicely and well maintained. The wheels are not the original ones (they are included) but in our view suit the car really well. The car has just received service including new clutch and timing belt and on the road the car drives like a Ferrari is supposed to drive with the gorgeous sound of the V8 just behind the driver and a firm shift of gears in the classic open gear box. You are well placed in the comfortable leather seats and it is just a very nice car, which will please anyone who owns and drive it. And it might just have the potential to become a future classic as well.
We deliver the car with a fresh MOT and Danish papers – ready for enjoyment in the season.
