Jaguar E-Type 4.2 FHC – 1967

There is not much that hasn’t already been said or written about the Jaguar E-type. Some have called it “the worlds sexiest car”. Even Enzo Ferrari is said to have called it most beautiful car ever.

This E-type is officially a Series 1, but one of the very late ones from the transition period into the Series 2 with open headlamps without cowlings. It is a matching numbers car originally sold in the United States. In 1995 it completed a full restoration in Denmark and was finished off in its original Carmen red livery and fitted with new competition wire wheels. It was done to a very high standard and the car won the Danish Vintage Car Clubs award for that year’s best restoration. Even though it is 18 years ago, the car has not been used much since and it is still very, very presentable.

Last year it received a major service, including engine service and also the low geared US rear axle was substituted with a European spec axle with a 2.88:1 ratio differential, making this lovely E-type a much more capable sportscar. Ready for delivery and a nice opportunity to aquire a beautiful and sought after Series 1 FHC in superb condition at an attractive price.
