Lancia Fulvia 1.3 S – 1972

Anyone who has had the chance to drive and work a little with these early Fulvias would agree that the quality of these cars are exceptional. The narrow angled little V4 pumping out 93 BHP is a jewel of an engine and every detail and component in this car is so well engineered, that it is no wonder that Lancia was close to bankruptcy on more than one occasion in the 50es and 60es. It is evident that it was the engineers and not the accountants or the marketing people at Lancia that got the last word when these cars were designed.

The Fulvia is not only a very elegant and compact 60es GT car. It is also an intelligent choice for a classic to be driven as everyday car. Nimble, agile, excellent road holding and superb visibility in its small but airy cabin from where one easily overlooks all 4 corners of the car under tight parking maneuvers.

This 1.3S was a father and son project and subject to a “nut & bolt” restoration in their workshop in Turin 6 years ago and the car has done less than 10.000 km since. It is the series 2 version with the short stick 5-speed “dog-leg” first gearbox. We have had this car for sale before and it just gets better and better every time we see it. Looked after by very enthusiastic and knowledgeable owners who has brought every little detail just right. We have not seen a Fulvia anywhere at any price that could match the condition of this one. A truly fabulous little sportscar.
