Maserati Quattroporte V8 Evoluzione – 2000

EUR 37,000

The iconic Maserati Quattroporte made its debut in 1963 and has since been the symbol of fast and luxurious 4-door transportation in the finest Italian tradition. Series IV was produced from 1994 to 2001 and following Ferrari’s takeover of Maserati in 1997 production and quality was greatly improved.

The result was a significantly updated and developed Quattroporte Evoluzione, which was presented at the car exhibition in Geneva in March 1998. Half of all components in the car were changed and the quality – not least in the cabin – improved substantially. A total of 730 examples of Evoluzione were produced of which only 205 examples had the fine 32 valve V8 engine (originally from Shamal) with twin turbo and 335 bhp matched to a 6 speed Getrag gear box.

Our example was sold new in Italy in November 2000. The car was serviced and maintained on a regular basis (documented) and the last Italian service was carried out at 60,100 km’s. In 2019 the car was imported to Denmark by an enthusiast who for a long time had been looking for the right car with complete history and the right specifications. Following the cars arrival in Denmark it has been taken good care of including major service, brakes, change of timing belt and exhaust carried out by Skallebølle Auto (Danish specialist in Italian exotics). All work is fully documented. Today the car has driven 63,270 km’s and last MOT is from March 2021.

The Quattroporte drives eminently. The silky smooth and subdued sound from the V8 engine is very addictive and there is something quite spectacular in operating the very precise Getrag gearbox. The quality of the cabin is leagues above the former quality of Maserati with soft thick leather on the chairs, alcantara on the dash board and door sides and the nice Jaeger instruments.

The car appeals to a feinschmecker who understands and values the special quality and charisma this model offers and who will continue to ensure that the car receives the love and attention it rightly deserves.
