Porsche 911 2.4 S Targa – 1973

Second  only to the Carrera RS, the 2.4S Targa was the most expensive car in Porsche’s 911 model line in 1973. This one was sold new to a Mr. Steve Patterson who used it when he was home in the US, as he spent most of his time flying as a pilot in the jungle of Venezuela.

The total mileage is 103.600 (165.000 KM) and we have quite a comprehensive file of history and service  on this car through the years.  It is a full matching numbers car that comes with Porsche Certificate of Authenticity. In 2008 it received a new paint in the original yellow gold metallic it had when new – a quite beautiful and rare color from the early 1970s.

The interior is very well kept and except from one small crack in the dashboard top from one corner in the speaker mesh it is in almost perfect condtion with no signs of excessive wear . It has the sought after Recaro sport seats (not factory fitted ) and a fairly new set of correct salt’n pepper carpets. The radio is a period correct top-of-the-line Becker Mexico stereo cassette in pristine and 100% functioning condition.

Engine, gearbox, brakes, steering, suspension and all other mechanic components are all in excellent condition. Engine pulls strongly as a 2.4 S should and the car is a real joy to drive.

This quite original car was never restored and it is in superb condition. Now with Danish papers and therefore no VAT or other taxes to pay at import to other EU countries.
